2020 National/Regional CotY Award Winner, Green - Entire House/Addition Projects
The clients purchased a run-down midcentury rambler to transform into their forever home. The space was reconfigured with a Universal Design concept and a focus towards going green. Interior structural and framing walls were removed and a two-story clerestory added above the living area to create a light-filled and airy open concept space. The addition of a master suite and a two-car attached garage complete the one-level dwelling. The floor plan integrates an open living and dining area, gourmet kitchen, three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, laundry room, patio and two garages. Additional storage was created above the attached garage. The Energy Star rated home has energy efficient windows, appliances, mechancial systems, LED lighting, and low-VOC paints.
