The homeowner wanted to update her entertaining and family spaces, and replace the existing wine closet. The new wine room features a wider opening with an eyebrow arch, and an open, expanded wine display outfitted with wine pegs, a storage cabinet and stacked stone. The cooling unit for the wine enclosure functions discreetly in the joist space behind the wine room. Its unsightly supply vents are strategically camouflaged by a faux beam, which also hides immovable plumbing vents. New mantels and an entertainment center were installed in the family room. The improvements coordinate perfectly with the eclectic style of the home, increasing storage and functionality throughout.
