2021 Regional CotY Award Winner, Residential Addition Over $250,000

After moving back to her hometown to raise a family, the clients purchased their dream home: a stone farmhouse dating to the 1730s and in need of restoration. The clients primary need of increasing the kitchen size was met with a tasteful addition, using materials salvaged from the property or recreated to perfectly match existing details. The 800-square-foot addition also included a sunroom, French style casement windows, and wet-laid bluestone flooring. The remaining house, unlived in for over two years, received a fitting renovation to all rooms, new windows and doors, period correct paint, millwork and hardware. The result was a stunning restoration of a prominent piece of American pre-revolutionary war history.
