2020 Regional CotY Award Winner, Residential Detached Structure
From concept to reality, this complex project was a multifaceted challenge. This modern take on a treehouse needed to match the style of the home that sits nearby, while blending into the natural setting. It was designed to provide a play space for visiting grandchildren and a quiet sanctuary with a view of the river for the homeowners. The structure had to withstand the weather, specifically westerly winds. By using the proper materials and effective building methods, all of these challenges were addressed. The finished project met the clients’ expectations of a child’s treehouse with modern architecture and a nature retreat.
