This couple was ready to retire and wanted a first story master suite addition and two-door garage built for aging in place. The plan was to convert the original garage into a master bedroom suite, and then add a mudroom and two-door garage with side entrance. The seamless connection of the existing home with new addition sets the stage for aging in place features including a wide doorway and entrances, a ramp from the garage to the mudroom, and a bedroom suite with universal bath. The curbless shower, wide hallways, double vanities and heated floor all were amenities they desired for their home.
