This condominium renovation involved transforming two units into an optimized, light-filled, single space with a contemporary design and uninterrupted river views. The design required relocating the kitchen and master bathroom, which entailed reorienting the plumbing; moving the kitchen toward the middle of the unit; and creating a master bath in the original kitchen location. Walls were removed, allowing the desire for an open floor plan to come to fruition. Throughout the home, maple millwork and glass separates the living spaces and minimizes the need for walls. The result is a warm, contemporary, light-filled home with improved flow, abundant storage, home offices, library and room for guests.
