The clients are two busy professionals who need respite from their grueling 80-to-120-hour work weeks. They love the beach and wanted a place to decompress and enjoy away time with family and friends. The oceanside site was the perfect location but the existing house was dark, dingy and depressing. Creating the retreat of their dreams meant extensive demolition and re-framing as well as additions to the existing footprint. The result is a modernized, transformed home that complements the stunning ocean views and wooded location. The home is now open and airy, and provides multiple activity areas, including kitchen, two dining tables, a living room, library, game room, family room, loft and wet bars.
