The clients wanted a more functional and spacious kitchen, an updated first floor bathroom, and a stabilized foundation with proper access to the basement. Upfitting the foundation and building an addition to the back of the home provided the space needed for the kitchen and basement staircase. The addition was designed with a modern, low slope roof with integrated gutter system that extends over a new Ipe deck with clear cedar paneling and skylights. The new space features rustic wood floors throughout, a modernized kitchen with natural wood, painted euro style cabinetry and blackened steel island with a lot of open space and natural light, and a new bathroom.
