2018 Regional CotY Award Winner, Residential Historical Renovation/ Restoration Under $250,000
This Craftsman style home built in 1925 had undergone multiple renovations. While these improvements were functional for the previous owners, they did not maintain the original style of the home. The new owners wished to bring back the soul of this historic home and improve the livability of the common areas. They also wanted the closed-in kitchen to open up to the rear family room. Removing the load bearing wall between the kitchen and family room required the installation of a 12-foot steel beam. In the end, every room was carefully re-designed using elements and finishes that bring consistency and historical appropriateness to the entire home.
