The clients’ home was designed by Russell Barr Williamson, a onetime associate of Frank Lloyd Wright. They wanted to honor Williamson’s vision with the remodel, while creating a new, modern, updated look. They also wanted to repurpose their son’s old bedroom and en suite bathroom into a new office/ guest bedroom and bathroom. To recreate the space, the clothes closet was gutted to house new Lutron controls and Murphy beds. The new wall panels replicate details found throughout the home. A credenza with a live-edge walnut top and open shelving pay homage to the home’s use of organic materials as well.
